Chinese Culture Program (Grades 1–5)

Our Chinese Culture Program is designed for students in grades 1–5 who are eager to deepen their knowledge of both Mandarin language and Chinese culture. Through interactive lessons, students explore traditional Chinese stories, create arts and crafts inspired by the Chinese zodiac, and practice traditional writing known as Maobi.

 

This program offers a more advanced approach, emphasizing pronunciation, fluency, and conversation to help students strengthen their speaking and listening skills.

 

Intermediate and advanced learners use the New York State Mandarin Conversation Textbook to practice structured dialogues and real-life speaking scenarios.

 

A highlight of this program is our student leadership opportunity: advanced and high-intermediate students can serve as in-class teaching assistants, helping guide beginner and intermediate learners during activities. This hands-on role allows them to apply their Mandarin skills in a meaningful, confidence-building way under the guidance of their instructors.
